 Si tienes a tu mascota bien alimentada es bueno que tengas claro que hay cosas las cuales él no debe consumir y que a veces por ignorancia, para que el regalón de la casa nos mueva su colita o nos ronronee, nosotros les damos de comer cosas que son muy dañinas. También hay que tener en claro que nuestras mascotas están dispuestas a comer cualquier cosa mientras no las estamos observando y en un descuido pueden comer algo que les produzca algún tipo de enfermedad estomacal, es por ellos que hemos buscados en la web por aquí y por allá la información necesaria para que la tengan presente en el cuidado de su mascota. Diez cosas que no debería comer tu mascota 1.- Los Huesos. No les des huesos cocidos a tu mascota, normalmente cada año incontables cantidades de animales terminan en la sala de urgencias porque sus amos les dieron huesos como premio, los huesos pueden atravesar o quedar atascado en el tracto digestivo de tu mascota y esto solo tiene la cirugía como remedio. Como consejo a tu mascota podrías darle huesos especiales que venden en algunas tiendas de mascotas o supermercados o también preocuparte que sea cartílago de animal en su defecto. 2.- El chocolate. Contiene teobromina, que causa un incremento en los latidos del corazón, estimulación del sistema nervioso central y constricción de las arterias. Los síntomas clínicos van desde el vómito, diarrea, hiperactividad y excitabilidad, hasta el fallo cardíaco, infartos y muerte. Esto puede ocurrir tan rápido como de 4 a 6 horas tras la ingesta. El chocolate cocinado es lo peor porque contiene mayores cantidades de teobromina. Una dosis potencialmente letal es de sólo 500 gr de chocolate para un perro de 7 kilos. Si tu mascota ha comido mucho chocolate, deberías contactar con tu veterinario inmediatamente. 3.- El alcohol. No se necesita mucho alcohol para intoxicar a una mascota. Los animales se pondrán nerviosos y atacarán cosas, hiriéndose a sí mismos. También les causa incontinencia urinaria. En altas dosis, el alcohol suprime el sistema nervioso central, el sistema respiratorio y cardíaco, y puede llevar a la muerte. 4.- La Leche. La mayoría de las mascotas son intolerantes a la lactosa y desarrollarán diarrea. Los animales además suelen carecer de la enzima que se requiere para disolver el azúcar de la leche y esto puede causar que desarrollen vómitos, diarrea y otros síntomas gastrointestinales. Incluso si piensas que les gusta, especialmente a los gatos, sólo le podrás dar leche sin lactosa. 5.- El jamón y otros productos altos en sal. Por el hecho de ser altas en grasas y muy saladas pueden producirle a tu mascotas fuertes dolores de estómago o pancreatitis. Muchas razas de perros por el hecho de comer cosas muy saladas continuamente pueden desarrollar una condición llamada “Bloat” que es el exceso de beber agua. Cuando esto sucede el estómago del perro se llena de gas y en algunas horas puede empeorar causando la muerte de tu mascota. 6.-La cebolla es toxica para perros y gatos. La cebolla contiene disulfidos, lo que daña los glóbulos rojos de su sangre y puede causar consecuencias fatales en animales. Se pueden volver anémicos, débiles y con problemas respiratorios. 7.- La cafeína. Contiene xanthine que, como el chocolate, estimula al sistema nervioso central y al sistema cardíaco y en pocas horas puede causar vómitos, hiperactividad, taquicardias e incluso la muerte. Fíjate de que se encuentren alejada cuando estés tomando desayuno. 8.- La Palta. Son toxicas para los animales ya que son altas en grasas que tu mascota no necesita y el consumo de estas podría producirle una fuerte pancreatitis. Por otro lado la pulpa de la palta puede atascarse en el tracto intestinal produciendo un bloqueo severo de este el cual solo se soluciona mediante cirugía. 9.- El Atún es malo para los gatos. Aunque no lo crean el Atún puede producir problemas cardiacos en tu felino si le das demasiado seguido, es recomendable dar 3 veces por semana gracias al aporte que posee este en omega 3 y 6 que son necesarias para el corazón, pero todo en exceso hace mal. 10.- Pasas y uvas. Estos alimentos pueden producir daños a los riñones de tu mascota, es por ellos que solo estén sometidos a una dieta organizada. Toda esta información fue recopilada de internet la cual fue desarrollada por veterinarios y de todas formas, aunque parezca un poco extrema la lista, es bueno tenerla presente ya que no sabemos en qué momento nuestra mascota se podría alimentar de alguno de estos alimentos y si los conocemos sabremos cómo reaccionar de la manera mas adecuada. |

Muy interesante , ya que conozco a mucha gente que le da chocolate a sus perros, incluso la hija de esta señora estudio veterinaria tiene su consulta y con los conocimientos que deberia aplicar ya que estudiopara eso en su consulta recoje perros y gatos y les da leche normal y varios animales que recoge se le mueren, si es sabido que tiene que ser leche descremada, sin lactosa etc .
